Its of a suitable size for a supermarket, and seems to be well laid out or the layout hasnt appeared to have changed radically for years so things are on the whole very easy to find. Good range of all items, and easy to get electrical items, clothes, etc all in one trip, reasonably priced items.
Staff are friendly and happy to help!, car park is sensible,
as long as you dont get run over by anyone on a mobility scooter or miss the rush that come in from the asda bus, the shopping trip shoudl go without a hitch. -

Asda - happy to help- I don't think so. Yesterday I wanted to buy a microwave and went to the superstore in Eastbourne, found what I wanted and took it to the checkout and was told "oh no madam you must take it to the happy to help desk at the other end of the store". Now I am disabled but still made my way to the desk at the other end of the store. On reaching the desk was told by Manuel " oh no madam I can't do that here you must take it to one of the other checkouts - the only one available was, once again, at the other end of the store. Even though my difficulty was obvious no attempt was made to help. Happy to help! I don't think so - I will never shop in asda again! kj

As well as being the 'corner shop' for those living in the harbour, this large and well laid out ASDA store also attracts budget conscious shoppers from a much wider area too. Having a chemist, post office, dry cleaners and jeweler all under one roof is certainly convenient, and the prices are the best in town. Very busy at weekends especially during the summer, but 24 hour opening means that late night shopping is possible when it is much quieter, although sometimes they don't have any tills open then and you have to use the self service scanner which I hate.
Plenty of car parking outside, bus stop next to it on Pevensey Bay Road with a regular service into town and lots of other useful stores nearby (Boots, Next, Matalan, two sports shops and a Brantano amongst others) make ASDA a popular place to shop and it won't break the bank either. The quality of the fresh produce is good, too. -

Much like any other Asda store, this one has a good range of clothes, video games, electrical items, music and DVDs as well as the usual food items you'd expect at a supermarket. Again, being Asda, it is all very keenly priced.
The store has a cafe that is also very well priced along with a post office that opens later than anywhere else in town.
The customer service in Asda is very good - it's rare that you come across a member of staff that doesn't at least give you an impression of being helpful even if, ultimately, they aren't.
The things that let Asda down are the toilets. In a place where so many people pass through, the toilets are well below standard. In fairness to Asda, every time I go in there and point this out, they clean them then and there.
Quite a few people I know won't shop in Asda as they think its a bit 'chavvy' for want of a better word. Personally, as a student, I find Asda sells all the stuff I want to buy at the price that I want to pay which is good enough for me.
On balance, this is one of the better supermarkets in town. -

Good sized and stocked Asda store, selling electical items, clothes, CDs, toys, Christmas decs, flowers and groceries all under one roof. They also have a photo centre, jewellers, opticians, pharmacy, cafe, post office and dry cleaners all running along the wall behind the tills. So everything you could possibly need available in the one trip really. Reasonable prices, on the whole the staff are friendly and willing to help and the parking is ok too. Can get very busy but it's the same in all supermarkets. Opening hours are fantastic - 24hr opening Monday to Saturday. They close at 10pm Sat eve and operate 10am to 4 pm Sundays.
